About

One of the last little Historical Theatres in Missouri

We are PROUD to say we are a MOM and POP Family run Business!

In brief, you should know the following about us: our theatre was established in 1911 and was purchased by the Sinnett family in 1974.  The theatre features a full concession, and we have been responsible for providing first-run, full-feature length motion pictures on our single screen to the community. Our regular customers particularly value the ambiance of the theatre that takes them back and our pricing which allows the whole family to enjoy a movie together without putting a dent in their budget!.

On Wednesday, January 5, 2011, the Senate Theatre was destroyed by fire.  We reopened May 20th 2011.  The Sinnett family wants to thank the local community for all of their continued support.  We would also like to thank everyone involved in the fundraising efforts.  The money raised was a tremendous help in getting the doors of the theatre reopened. If not for the community this would not have been possible, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  A big thank you also goes out to all the firefighters who fought the fire.  We are so very grateful.
