In Springfield from out of town and this was are first time visiting the Discovery Center. My family and I loved it so much, many many different activities! The man at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Would recommend taking your children here!

Moved from CO area where Denver museum was highlight of our weekends. Come to find out our membership was reciprocated and admission was free today. While it isn't as big as the museum in Denver and doesn't have mummies or dinosaurs it's still pretty awesome. This place has a real Tesla coil though sweet!

This is supposed to be geared toward children but I went by myself to check it out. They consider themselves a hands on museum, which is pretty cool considering all the times I was told the opposite as a child. They have many activities to keep children busy and it is a safe environment. They have a coloring room, a obstacle course room and so much more. And they also have a room that you can rent for parties and events.

We went with our 3 year old and we loved it as much as she did. There is so much to do for all ages, and when you think you are done there are more floors to explore! I wish I had known about this place sooner, we will definitely be going back.

This was great, there was so much to do we almost didn't see it all. The biology lab where you actually get to play with microscopes was so amazing. The only thing I noticed was that they have an actual bee hive that connects to outside, but when you look out the window there are no flowers for the bees to get pollen from, I know it sounds silly, but I think it would be great to have a rooftop garden or at least plant some annuals in the parking lot flower beds so the bees have something to gather from. Other than that, it was great! An awesome way to spend the day.
